Literature Text

A young girl sits in her chair, a basket of many different colored patches beside her. She hums as she stitches the together.

This is why there is no sound in space

The tune she hums is without sound, yet drowns out all noise.

Each patch has a different pattern on it. Some have peaceful scenes, while others feature tormented plains of eternal suffering, with no one to suffer in it.

These are the planets.

Some of the patches have been stitches together with her golden string. Some are with silver string. And others are with steel.

These are the precious ores.

Her basket contains all that ever will be and all that ever was.

She has infinite patches and infinite string.

She is not finished with the quilt.

This is why in some places in the vast ocean of space, there is nothing. Or close to nothing.

The girl hangs the quilt on the wall. For she is done for now. And won't add anything for billions if years.   The window next to the quilt is open. It causes th e quilt to wave in the wind. It also causes the patterns to move.

This is why we have orbits.

Once the window closes The quilt will stop. And so will we and everything else in the quilt.

I really like the world you built up in probably less than one page. It is concise and just tells you the important stuff, which is a hard thing to pull off without just being boring or narmy. It also manages to have that ancient lore feel to it.
Nice job!
